The ABC Club
Nordic Voice promotes the ABC club. A not-for-profit community interest company that aims to promote Nordic spirituality by educating members in Norse mythology and religious practice to aid the much needed spiritual innovation necessary for the survival of Nordic philosophy.
Our long term aim is to fund a network of religious premises that provide places of worship through martial arts practice and ultimately a Nordic religious educational facility and school system that allows practitioners of Norse spirituality to have their children educated by their own community and spiritual leadership.
How
The ABC club uses the runic and English alphabets in conjunction with the Wheel of the Year and the Heroes Journey as a mnemonic device for mythological narratives and initiatory practices that promote membership engagement and religious dedication.
Each Rune on the Wheel is associated with and/or represents a:
- meaning and keyword
- aspect in the stage of the heroes journey
- archetype/god/character
- myth/story/metaphor
- astrologic symbol
- alchemical symbol
- tarot card
These associations help members understand, use and read the Nordic runes to access levels of spirituality we believe are necessary for the mature development of our community and population.
Step 1:
The first stage of learning to read the runes and learning the lessons and meanings of the myths is to learn the following meanings we associate with the letters of the already well established English alphabet below:
- A = Answer
- B = Begin
- C = Create
- D = Dawn
- E = Equestrian
- F = Fetter
- G = Gift
- H = Hail
- I = Ice
- J = Join
- K = King
- L = Lake
- M = Man
- N = Need
- O = Ordeal
- P = Pleasure
- Q = Quicken
- R = Ride
- S = Success
- T = Temper
- U = Uphold
- V = Voice
- W = Win
- X = eXchange
- Y = Youth
- Z = Zenith
